From 2021, within the framework of the “We Live” project, MIHR theatre organizes a commemorative event, when the members of MIHR theatre and passers-by write poetry of Western Armenian poets, who have been killed during the Armenian Genocide in 1915; in 2021, we wrote Daniel Varujan’s poetry and in 2022, we wrote Siamanto’s poetry.
From 2015, MIHR Theatre organizes “We Live” project. ‘’We Live’’ is a series of projects; video series and open-air commemorative events. The video series are dedicated to the Armenian Genocide 100th memory year. All the participants share their family stories about Armenian Genocide.
From 2003 to 2015, MIHR Theatre has been organizing an annual mourning procession dedicated to the memory of the Armenian Genocide implemented by Turkey towards Armenians from 1915-1923: 24 young people, dressed in white which symbolizes the purity of the people that died in the Deir ez–Zor, march silently towards Tsitsernakaberd – holding candles in their hands, which is a tribute to the memory of the victims. During the whole time of the procession a church bell is rung as a sign of alarm.
